Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior
GEMS is a girls club for first through fifth grade which meets in the church basement from 6:45pm to 8:15pm on Wednesday nights. Regular meetings include Bible study, games, crafts and friends. Here are some other things our GEMS club has to offer.
Treasured Friends: Each girl is assigned a volunteer adult woman from the church to be their Treasured Friend for the year. Treasured Friends pray for the girls throughout the year and occasionally help us with crafts at our regular meetings.
Shine Magazine: Each girl receives a subscription to Shine Magazine which is published by the nationals GEMS organization. It contains stories and articles designed for girls in 3rd to 6th grade. We use the Bible lessons in the back of the magazine for our weekly small group Bible Studies.
Friends: The girls form friendships with each other both through our weekly activities and special events like the annual sleep-over in the church basement.
Badges: Each girl receives a book with which they can earn badges from. There are a wide range of badges available to earn such as stamping, cooking, nutrition, zoology, computers, Bible study and many more. As a group we complete approximately 3-4 badges each year, however girls are encouraged to work on other badges with other people in their lives. Each girl also receives a banner to display their badges on.

Annual Theme: Feed the Fire!
Each year, a Scripture passage is selected and a theme is developed around that Scripture to make the passage come alive for the girls. Bible studies, service projects, crafts, games, and other fun activities are created to teach the truth of God's Word that is found in the theme.
I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth. ~ Revelation 3:15-16
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. ~Romans 12:11 God is passionate about His people. His Word repeatedly describes His sincere desire to have an authentic, wholehearted relationship with us. His love is lavish (1 John 3:1), His faithfulness reaches to the skies (Psalm 36:5), His promises are sure (Psalm 145:13), His salvation through Jesus Christ is complete (1 Peter 3:18), and through His divine power He has given us all that is needed for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3)! How should re respond to the One who gave His all for us? We must feed the fire by passionately pursing God (Revelation 3:15-16), zealously serving Him (Romans 12:11), and boldly taking back territory for the King of kings (Revelation 17:14)!
Now is the time to refute our culture’s messages of apathy and complacency! GEMS Girls’ Clubs is excited to feed the fire!
