Custodial Job Description
Description of Function:
The Church custodian’s general duties are to keep the church cleaned on a regular basis and to do minor repairs as necessary. The nature of this position allows for some flexibility of work scheduling. However, the custodian is expected to be present at all worship services and other meetings which require custodial services.
The custodian shall record hours worked on a custodial timesheet. A minimum of 20 hours per week shall be worked. Maximum hours for Sunday morning will be five (5) hours; Sunday evening will be three (3) hours; and special services will be three (3) hours.

Kitchen floors are done by the custodian. Other routine cleaning and annual “spring cleaning” are organized and done by the Women’s Ministry.

Reporting: The custodian reports directly to the Building and Grounds Committee
Evaluation: To be performed with employee by Building and Grounds Committee and Personnel Committee on or before April 1 of each year. The Church Operations Council Head will gather input from all committee chairpersons.
